Weebly

The easiest way to build a website

Simple drag-and-drop website builder now owned by Square. Known for ease of use and integrated e-commerce through Square's payment ecosystem.

Our take

Weebly was once a top-tier website builder, but since Square's acquisition it's been on maintenance mode — new development has shifted to Square Online. The editor remains one of the simplest to use, making it fine for basic sites. But the template library feels dated, the feature set hasn't kept up with Wix or Squarespace, and the 3% transaction fee on lower e-commerce tiers is a dealbreaker for serious sellers. If you're already in the Square ecosystem for payments, it integrates well. Otherwise, there are better options at similar price points. Best for very simple sites where ease of use trumps everything else.
