Photoshop is still the benchmark for image editing — thirty-five years in and nothing truly replaces it for professional photo retouching, compositing, or digital painting. The Generative Fill and Generative Expand features powered by Adobe Firefly are game-changers for content-aware editing. The downsides are well-known: subscription fatigue, a steep learning curve, and feature bloat that makes simple tasks harder than they should be.
